The Power of Music, the Ministry of Music, Music the Great Motivator….When you are in Sales, you have to self motivate. At the end of a sales presentation, I made years ago, I added the James Brown song below. I think it still works today.
“Get Up Offa That Thing” — by James Brown always reminds me that Motivation is Internal. A learned behavior that you develop. Learning what motivates you and how to identify what will get you up offa that thing.
What you do for 8+ hours a day should be where you go to enjoy life, be creative, move forward with a goal. It doesn’t matter what your job is; it just matters what’s in you.
The Absolute BEST rental car bus driver was in Atlanta, GA, he had an incredible radio voice and dynamic personality. He made the best of his day and shared his Enthusiasm. He also played the best 1970’s Soul Music. You couldn’t help but have a little pep in your step, walking out. And just think about it, he did this ALL day long. And as you walked out of the bus, he would say, Have a Blessed Day.
That big smile you give someone during the day might be the one smile that makes a difference between how the next few hours go or not for that person. You have no idea what that person might be going through.
“You can tell a good salesperson by the volume of their music.”
I used to say you can always tell a good salesperson by the volume of their music! Motivation.
Remember, Music is a Great Motivator. Keep it Positive. Music can lift you up or bring you down. Choose what you put in your head and heart wisely.
Go to Youtube.com or whatever music platform you use and lookup songs that made you happy over the years, something tied to fun, happy memories, whatever gets you going.
You will be amazed at how in a matter of minutes, you are up dancing or in a better place.
